Haven't had Fashawn in the lime light here on earmilk in a minute, so I'm stoked to be able to bring some new from my dude. Fashawn loves going in on those calming, mellow, instrumental type beats and I think that's what makes him so appealing. The first track is called "Fash Plays It Cool," its off his upcoming album entitled The Antidote, who hes actually tackling with the mighty Alchemist, who also produced this track.. the soothing horns on this make it all worthwhile. Words Beats & Life (WBL), is a hip-hop non profit organization in Washington DC that focuses on educating youth, furthering the collegiate study of hip-hop culture and events presented in the community. We are having a 4 day, multi-media festival this week that showcases the best in independent media of hip hop influence. Entitled the Bootleg Festival, it takes place in Washington DC from September 16th-19th 2009. In conjunction with our second annual multi-media event, two of our affiliates Ace Jones & DJ RBI have come together to create a mixtape for our event. With exclusive content from Fashawn, Kam Moye, Phat Kat, Raheem Devaughn, we will be leaking cuts from the tape until it drops on Sept 19th, the last day of our festival.
