The new Go! Team remix of Black Moth Super Rainbow's "Twin of Myself" is a super happy and pretty little song. The indie/ electronica heads over here at Earmilk get stoked real hard on BMSR, and we've been waiting for the right time to give them what they deserved on a post.
For those of you who aren't familiar with BMSR, they are an experimental band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It's extremely hard to describe their music, but on the insert on their album Dandelion Gum, this was written:
"Deep in the woods of western Pennsylvania vocoders hum amongst the flowers and synths bubble under the leaf-strewn ground while flutes whistle in the wind and beats bounce to the soft drizzle of a warm acid rain. As the sun peeks out from between the clouds, the organic aural concoction of Black Moth Super Rainbow starts to glisten above the trees."
Yeah. Crazy, right? So in honor of BMSR, I'm not only posting this latest remix, but a few of their other songs and a video for their song Sun Lips, and an XLR8R video done for them, episode 34.
Big post for BMSR today. They deserve it.
