Young Londoner Gerald Jacobs is a rising star. Hailing from a city full of talented emcee's and wannabe's, it's easy for you to get caught up in a whirlwind of mediocrity. To get dragged down into a pit of artists all hitting that average mark, but never really exceeding it. Jacobs, however, has already set himself aside from the rest, with a couple of singles receiving support from the likes of Radio 1 DJ's Mistajam and DJ Semtex.
This month we've been treated to a brand new joint from the gifted UK emcee, with "Many Thanks". Backed by a bumpin', boom bap like beat, Jacobs uses the bass heavy instrumental as the perfect weapon to spray his words like ammunition. With some deep hitting lyricism and some really nice flow cadences, Gerald uses "Many Thanks" as his warning statement to the rest of the rap game, in the UK especially, that he's here to make a LOT of noise.
You can be stream "Many Thanks" below, and be sure to keep an eye out for Jacobs The Loudest Quiet mixtape dropping later this month.
