The Slocal movement has been swamping the London music scene, swallowing everyone in its path and showing exactly why it's one of the most fresh and exciting musical cliques around. With head honcho ItsNate releasing some of the dopest rap records to come out of London in a while, and DJ/producer JD Reid dropping some absolute gems, the Slocal crew are in good shape heading into the final quarter of 2014.
One of Slocal's most promising rappers, CR Blacks, is no stranger to these EARMILK pages, having graced them many a time in the past year. Following on from his last single, the bangin' "Do My Thing", the London native has today blessed us with another dope joint to digest, the more mellow "Strange Numbers". With a more relaxing instrumental produced by the everstrong Selasse, Blacks goes in with some strong lyricism, spitting his words in French as well as English and shedding light on the darker side of a relationship.
You can stream "Strange Numbers" below, and be sure to keep your eyes and ears locked onto EARMILK for all the latest from CR Blacks! If you're in London on August 8th, be sure to head by the Jazz Cafe to catch Blacks perform alongside Benton and Beverley Ely.
