Some days, when you get home from school or work, you just want to put your feet up and listen to music that makes you feel good. We have exactly that kind of track right here, with the new joint from California rapper Paris Jones. I wasn't particularly familiar with Paris's work before I came upon this track, but one thing's for certain, after hearing it once through, I immediately went in search of more music from him. The Palmdale emcee is a jack of all trades when it comes to music: he's a singer, songwriter, rapper and producer, all wrapped into one person.

His latest track, "Okay", is a master class in cloud rap (I know I'll get some hate for using this phrase), and his self-produced instrumental is definitely one of my favorites of 2013 so far. The main sample in the track, Active Child's "Hanging On", is used to great effect, giving a relaxed and mellow vibe to the song. Jones enlisted the help of one of the best female emcees in the hip-hop universe at the moment, Angel Haze, who blesses the track with another hot verse that accompanies the style and flow that Paris started it off with.

"Okay" is taken from Jone's upcoming album, You're Invited to the Assassination Of Patrick Campbell by Paris Jones. Everything from the album title to the politically charged images to which you can find on his Instagram just screams unique. The vision that Paris Jones has for his music is definitely something I've not seen for quite a while, and with the release of You're Invited To… on October 8, a lot of people are going to sit up and take note of this talented artist.
