The first part of this week's instalment of The Club will be dedicated to all things progressive & electro house. Kicking things off in a big way is a guest mix from Audien, an upcoming producer out of Connecticut whose trance influenced progressive house style has been gracing the sets of names like Ferry Corsten, Above & Beyond, Gareth Emery, and Armin van Buuren. With originals like the intro track "Eventide" in his repertoire, its no wonder why he's quickly becoming THE hidden gem in EDM right now.
PROGRESSIVE HOUSE
Off their long awaited debut album release, People of the Night, the Swedish duo An21 & Max Vangeli partner with Moguai for one of our favorite tracks from the album, “Brunette.” Fittingly out on Steve Angello’s Size Records, “Brunette” is a harder tune with a pounding progressive build into a grinding electro style drop. One among many of the varying collaborations on the compilation, “Brunette” perfectly melds the mainstream progressive sound of the duo and the German electro style of Moguai. All in all, it’s a manifestation of pure musical energy.
Victor and Ruben make up Vicetone, the Dutch duo that have done their fair share of bootleg remixes, but never worked with such a powerful vocal as what Matthew Koma provided in "Sparks". Vicetone gives "Sparks" the kind of facelift that's chorus repeats over and over in your head well after its done playing. These guys are a feel good story for the week as none other than Nicky Romero himself caught on to the remix, dropping it on this week's Protocol Radio (005). Vicetone's first original "California" also features that robust, progressive sound which many try to imitate but few are able to master… I sense more original tracks are not far away.

What started out as the experimental side project of a Physics and Honors Mathematics double major, Sentiflect has grown uncontrollably from a resident DJ on the campus of the University of Notre Dame into a serious talent to be reckoned with in the big room scene. His latest release, "Midnight" continues the trend and showcases his ability to produce peak time progressive house bombs that are only just the beginning of what we're likely to see from the American 20 year old.

ELECTRO HOUSE
A month or so ago we shared a collaboration between Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike, & Yves V, and highlighted another production they had been working on, “Loops & Tings.” Well the Belgian trio brought an even bigger, big room track with this one – a slightly brooding tour de bass that still manages to find balance between the song’s finer elements. By that I am referring to a simple, yet effective, piano line, which softens the song at points, preparing for all out drops that make you want to shake. And, you can never go wrong with a sampling of, “nobody likes the records that we play.” It’s simply a classic. Keep your ear out for Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike who will be making their way around the USA in the next few weeks.
Now, for the sweet German teddy bears, Spencer & Hill and their track “1234.” This bangalanger appeared on at least one Electric Zoo set, though I expect it to be gracing more soon. With a blaring horn noise and cheering crowds, it really transports you to a field where you’re raging alongside thousands of festivalgoers.
Lauded on Beatport in its release, “Wait 4 It” by Bastian Van Shield partners with Italian duo Pink Fluid for a gritty, underground tech house production. With many noted tech house collaborations under their belt, Pink Fluid adds unique sound “Wait 4 It” that winds and gives us just enough progressive elements to make this a club-ready track. Bastian Van Shield ventures away from his most well-known sound for a deeper more acid collaboration with Pink Fluid. With his own remix of the production, we hear more of his house-influenced inspirations that add an extra groove.

After releasing his collaboration with Eric Solomon "Missing You" and a now official Krewella remix , Atlanta's own, Moore releases his playful yet high powered original, "Ollie", out today on Beatport (HJ-Ent). Family Guy's famous Channel 5 Action News weatherman Ollie Williams steals the show with three words. It's Gon RAIN! And with Moore set to deliver an encore to his first EP "The Moore, The Better", we believe it.
