Pre Amble: I apologize in advance for any broken speakers or headphones after listening to this Artist Remixed.
There are thousands of popular artists out there today making new singles all the time. With the increase of bedroom producers though, the ability to simply download a whole studio that you can use right on your lap has made original songs more scarce. Now it seems that you're finding tens of thousands of remixes by artists with more and more ludicrous names, leaving you wondering, "Transexual Viking Sword Bro- what???" This weekly segment will bring you the popular remixes and the never heard of "Transexual Viking Sword Brothers" remixes of a (common) artist's singles. From all these bedroom producers we are seeing one thing, and that is absolutely fantastic, manipulated, warped remixes.
Hello readers, this is your final week of Artist Remixed – Kanye West and boy oh boy, is this week a slaughter house. Does anyone remember my Artist Remixed – Ellie Goulding? If you do you'd probably remember how I brought down upon you an ambush of dubstep remixes. Well that's back. This week is almost all dubstep, almost too much dubstep (heh, just kidding.) It was almost a challenge finding something that wasn't a dubstep remix. So here you are… Do you want it? Do ya? Are you eager for remixes of Watch the Throne and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy?
Kanye West is a famou– "Yo Dranoel, I'm really happy for you, and I'm let you finish. But Suicide Sundaes is one of the best weekly segments of all time. Of All Time!" –ElectBlake
POPULAR REMIXES
Okay, okay, I know I just tempted you with the keep reading. But if you know Artist Remixed than you know Popular always comes first! You'll get to your dubstep soon enough. Be patient young reader. Your filth addiction will need to be calmed with some major remixes of Kanye West for now including the Paper Diamond remix and the DJ Sega Philly Club remix (which highlights is on.)
ELECTRO REMIXES
This again is not your dubstep remixes, I know. I'm saving the best for last like always. But let's be real, this is as close as your going to get to a Dubstep remix. Some of these can almost be considered electro-step if were getting technical here. Well if were getting technical it's "house-electro-step-witchcraft-8-genre-tag-specific-up-my-ass." Highlights on DJ Kue's remix.
HOUSE REMIXES
Yep, I'm well aware that your hatred for me is growing as I postpone the dubstep in this post. You've probably all skipped the rest and gone straight for the goods. I would have aswell. No worry. Here are your house remixes, very loopy club remixes. Highlights on It's Overtune remix.
CHILL OUT REMIXES
"Chill Out Remixes Dranoel? Chill Out Remixes? Where the f**k is the Filth?" Okay, okay, I know I'm now just being a douche. I do hope you stay with me and continue waiting on the dubstep. Think about how much more rewarding it is going to be with so many postpones. Well here are you Chill Out Remixes. Practically the opposite of dubstep. Still, like last week, not very "Chill" but more disco-relaxed. Highlights on Umut Soyugüzel's remix.
MARKET PRICE REMIXES
I know I've know teased and played with you so much for the dubstep. This is the last section before your grime I swear. If you've followed me from the top down and not peeked at the dubstep kudos to you! This section even has some dubstep teasers in it. Some electro dubstep tracks that can calm your addiction until your main high. Why did I make this a section? Because the man (Market Price) practically made the album himself! Mark the Throne is an unbelievable remixed album. It would be in-justice not to have this section here for him. So here you go, highlights on the Murder to Excellence remix.
ALRIGHT… I THINK YOU'VE WAITED LONG ENOUGH
SO HERE IT IS…
THE DUBSTEP REMIXES
Like I've said before, the simple title of "Dubstep Remixes" is too broad for all the songs to be thrown under. So I've decided to split them up on the different sounds and styles of dubstep.
DINOSAUR DUBSTEP REMIXES
I've categorized these remixes as Dinosaur Dubstep Remixes simply because the dubstep is these remixes sounds like T-Rex's roaring, the bass is Triceratops stomping and the synth is Marasuchus's squealing. This is your filthy roaring tracks that make you think dinosaurs were half dinosaur-half transformer. Enjoy, highlights on Figures remix.
JUST PLAIN FILTHY DUBSTEP REMIXES
These are the dubstep remixes you'll see all the time in live show videos? Why? Because their just plain filthy dubstep remixes. These tracks just make you rock your head back and forth wincing. Grimey filthy dubstep tracks. Highlights on Rusko's remix which "Wobble Wednesday" Author Croydon has overall favourites on and who showed me the track.
FEATHER DUBSTEP REMIXES
These remixes are on the softer side of dubstep (is that a Oxi-moron? I'd say so.) They certainly won't melt your face off, but it defiantly has bass that gives it the dubstep title. So what if it doesn't make you puke from wobble? It still can give you chills. Highlights on Swaytek's remix.
WHOMP DUBSTEP REMIXES
Ever listen to dubstep and hear that "Whompppp?" It's the noise that partially invented dubstep, that heavy bass that shakes you right out of your chair. These remixes were made to rattle your brain in wobble and bass. Enjoy the whomps and the drops as you seizure, tweaking out in your chair. Highlights on Caligulas Niggas in Miami remix.
SKRILLEX'S STOLEN HARD-DRIVE DUBSTEP REMIXES
Do you guys remember when Skrillex's hard-drive's got stolen? Well this is where the bits and pieces got sold too. These dubstep remixes sound like they were taken right off Skrillex's lost hard-drives. They have the scattered, all over the place, strange noise feel that you'll often find with Skrillex tracks. Enjoy, highlights on Cazzettes hellish slaughtering field remix.
OVERALL FAVOURITE REMIX
The beginning of this song opens with a high intensity intro. A steady beat drop brings you into the intro vocals. A high glitchy frquecncy picks up. Soon your about to get some real glitchstep super mario noises as Karetus warps the original Monster, making it truely a "Monster" remix. The beat continues but the dubstep leaves, the intensity still lingers. It soon drops the vocals again taking you on another roller coaster ride. The dubstep is dropped and absolutely tears the original to shreds making your ears gush 'milky' blood. Great work Karetus.
