UK Festivals Wrapped Up: A diverse weekend of music, food and culture

From Brighton’s booming basslines to sheep crossing Southwark Bridge, the UK just wrapped up an action-packed festival weekend brimming with energy, culture, and unforgettable moments.

Whether it was dancing under lasers, taking in Sheffield’s indie circuit or enjoying a bit of history and some scrumptious BBQ , there was a bit of everything for festival-goers to pick from. With diversity at its root, the UK festival scene gives locals and visitors alike a reason to get out, connect, and celebrate culture in its many forms.

Here’s a look back at some of the highlights from this past weekend :

Boundary Brighton

Stanmer Park became a sea of dancers as Friday’s house and techno gave way to Saturday’s drum ’n’ bass, UKG and grime. With heavyweight DJs and sunsets by the coast, it delivered exactly the kind of high-energy escape festivalgoers expected.

RESISTANCE London

At Drumsheds, the capital’s dance fans were treated to a marathon of underground sounds across two nights. The mega-venue vibe was electric, bringing an authentic indoor festival feel without having to leave the city.

Float Along Festival – Sheffield

Indie, post-punk, psych, and alt ruled Sheffield City Centre. With one wristband granting access to multiple venues, fans got to wander between intimate rooms and stumble upon rising acts, proving once again why Sheffield’s live scene is buzzing.

FUME Festival – Woolwich

For food lovers, smoke and spice filled the air at Woolwich Works as pitmasters from across the globe served BBQ specialties. From classics to experimental flavours, the three-day feast was a paradise for anyone who came hungry.

Royal Docks Originals – London

Art took to the skies as visitors joined “Blue Sky Making” rides on the IFS Cloud Cable Car. Combined with street performances, markets, and installations, it turned the Royal Docks into a creative hub for families and explorers alike.

Chelsea History Festival

History buffs enjoyed talks, tours, and special access to Chelsea’s most iconic institutions. Between live music, exhibitions, and the charm of Chelsea Pensioner Singers, it was the perfect slower-paced counterbalance to the weekend’s louder celebrations.

Quirky London Highlights

  • Twin Peaks Festival brought surreal screenings and cherry pie to Genesis Cinema.

  • Liberty Festival spotlighted disabled artists across theatre, dance, and music.

  • London Bridge Sheep Drive & Livery Fair (yes, real sheep on Southwark Bridge!) once again gave the city one of its most photogenic traditions.
