RHA Festival Returns to Mexico’s Famed Coastal Resort Riviera Nayarit

May 25-26, 2018

RHA means water flowing in wixárika, the language of the indigenous people of Mexico’s Nayarit region. Flow, is a reference that tells us about their journey of life. The water that flows, the water that evaporates, the water that rains and returns.

RHA Festival’s debut in 2017 on the beachfront of Mexico’s stunning tropical coastline in the Riviera Nayarit was an overwhelming success. World class production and DJs, five star neighboring resorts, a welcoming blend of international and regional attendees, and a location that sits on 200 miles of pristine beachfront, made this one of 2017’s standout festival debuts.

2018’s line-up continues RHA’s goal of showcasing the best of global and house and techno. Luciano will return to Mexico for the first time in three years alongside one of DIRTYBIRD's best, Justin Martin, Mexican underground star Hector will line-up with fellow countryman Harvard Bass, while Charlotte de Witte leads the techno representation. There will be a live showcase from Lee Foss and Anabel Englund, and NOIR, Marques Wyatt, Holmar and Zen Freeman will bring their singular strains of house to the stage.

In 2018 RHA Festival will return to its 2017 location, just outside the enclosed resort of Punta Mita. The 2018 addition will see the addition of a new second space, a unique natural amphitheater, just steps from the main-stage, perched next to the ocean providing amazing views for sunset performances. The mainstage will again be situated on the waterfront by the Cruz marina, with attendees able to dance under the warm night skies enjoying the coastal breezes.

RHA Festival moved to May this year, to take better advantage of the incredible weather in the region at this time. The festival programming will run on Friday May 25 and Saturday May 26, starting in the late afternoon, giving attendees the chance to catch the sunset, before dancing late into the night.

The Memorial Day Weekend will give attendees time to take in the wonders of one of Mexico’s most beautiful areas. Located just a two hour flight from Los Angeles, Riviera Nayarit is off the well trodden tourist track, a land of wixárikas indigenous cultural heritage, it is one of the country’s safest regions. Punta Mita offers world class surfing, fishing and a full water sports program, boat excursions to the UNESCO protected Marietas Islands and picturesque beachfront pueblos, all surrounded by the deep blue seas of the Pacific and the spectacular Sierra Madrea Mountains.

Tickets and hotels are on sale now, so grab them while you can!
