NYC's best parties during Fourth of July weekend

If you're in the US, you're probably awaiting the long way marking the Fourth of July long weekend. In New York City, that means you're either trying to get out of the city – heading home, to the Hamptons, Fire Island, Montauk, the Jersey Shore or elsewhere. Or, you might be part of the few who enjoy the emptiness of the city on big holiday weekends, and the plethora of parties that come along with them.

Just in time for the weekend, we've got a guide to the best parties to choose from so that your whole weekend is packed with fun.

First up is part of Verboten's event series throughout the summer. Their StageONE events at the Williamsburg Waterfront make an appearance this time every year, with deep house industry leader Sasha leading the pack. The party starts in the afternoon, with an official after party (also with Sasha) at the actual club just down the street starting later. One thing you can't miss: the fireworks over the Manhattan skyline and a light show from the Empire State Building.

Friday, July 3rd – Day

If you haven't heard about Cityfox parties, this is the time to get to know them. The underground, originally word of mouth party is amping up its game this weekend, hosting a party that starts on Friday at 2 PM and ends at 9 AM on Sunday. Known for an insane sound system and surprisingly impressive production and entertainment for party goers, music will include Tale of Us, M.A.N.D.Y. and more.

Saturday, July 4th – Day + Night

Brooklyn's Danny Tenaglia can be seen frequenting many of the parties in his borough all summer long. But this year, he's participating and continuing on with his Be Yourself parties at Output in Brooklyn.

Tiki Disco will return to keep the party going on Sunday, this time at The Well in Brooklyn. As usual, the guys will surely throw a laid back party to close the weekend out right.
