IMS Engage, the groundbreaking event thrown by the International Music Summit, returns to Los Angeles for it's third consecutive year. On April 15, leaders from the worlds of finance, technology, music and media will converge at the W Hotel to address the growing influence of electronic music. The first two conversation pairings have been announced, with Lyor Cohen and Jake Udell joining forces alongside the duo of Seth Troxler and Chuck D.
Cohen, an industry mogul and former CEO/Chairman of Warner Music Group will link with one of dance music's premier entrepreneurs, who currently manages ZHU and Krewella. We will see how the best and brightest of two generations interact and explore the similarities and contrasts of entirely different realms of music.

On the other end, techno trailblazer Seth Troxler will sit down with Chuck D, the esteemed rapper and founder of legendary group Public Enemy. They're slated to discuss the foundations of electronic music, rooted in underground Detroit and Chicago scenes. With the commerciality of mainstream dance music, many fans are unaware of the communities that sparked the rise of EDM in America, something IMS Engage hopes to clarify.
Many more exciting pieces to the event will unfold in the coming months, so be sure to snag a delegate badge before it's too late.
