Calling all Bob Marley fans. The music legend has just launched the latest quest in his legacy, a new men’s clothing line aptly called, Marley Apparel. The brand aims to pay tribute to Marley’s styling’s throughout the 60’s and 70’s. The entire collection was designed by his eldest daughter Cedella Marley, and represents Marley’s zest for studio life as well as on the soccer field.
Yesterday was the launch of the limited edition Soccer Capsule Collection 2014, which features soccer tees and track-jackets designed with the actual tees Bob donned on the soccer field and appropriately in correlation with World Cup taking place in Brazil.
In celebration of the launch, NYC music production and creative agency MATTE is throwing a concert at The Surf Lodge in Montauk, NY this weekend. An awesome line up of artists that create music with the best summer vibes. The lineup will include Ky Mani Marley, Star Slinger, Klingande, Zimmer, Holy Child, and Reuben and The Dark.
A portion of the net proceeds from the sale of Marley Apparel will go to the One Love Gardens initiative, which aims to help fund and generate independent, eco-friendly plots of land for the less well-off communities to grow food and herbs in Jamaica and eventually around the world.
