British electronic trio Darkstar, a member of the elite Warp record label, will make a brief visit to the U.S. this spring, with support from up-and-coming producer and labelmate patten. The stops include typical major cities like L.A. and New York as well as Asheville, North Carolina for the always eclectic and now five-day (!) Moogfest, where they’ll be part of a “Warp showcase” which also includes Clark and Moderat. Along with this news comes a new 30-minute mix from Darkstar, which finds them shedding their common subdued demeanor to have a little fun, with the chosen artists ranging from Kraftwerk to Zomby. If you’re on either coast now’s your chance to catch Darkstar live, if not so lucky then let this mix be the soundtrack to your dreaming on.
