Helang sticks to her own script on "Nonconformist," out today via her self-launched label, Dauntless Records. The chugging tech-house cut takes an unusual approach, weaving samples pulled from some of the GRAMMY's most iconic awards speeches into a groovy, intoxicating bassline, resulting in a track that functions as both a dancefloor weapon and something closer to a rallying cry.
That duality runs through the entire production. "Nonconformist" balances party-starting momentum against shadowy distortion, letting Helang's dark, gritty sound design take center stage while reinforcing the message of affirmation that's become a throughline in her work.
"'Nonconformist' is one of my most bold and empowering tracks to date, further cementing my belief in going against the grain," Helang shares. "It's a powerful club track, yes, but I hope it also delivers the message that it's okay to do things your own way regardless of societal expectations."
The release follows "Ragebait," which landed on Gallya's Set About imprint last month and drew praise from outlets including Billboard and EDMTrain for its fiercely feminine energy.
Helang has built a catalog approaching 2 million streams across releases on HE.SHE.THEY., Armada, and Meduza's AETERNA, alongside her own Dauntless Records, which she launched in 2024. Her live resume spans The Brooklyn Mirage to Kappa Futur Festival, with stages shared alongside Adam Beyer, Charlotte De Witte, Eric Prydz, Fisher, Nicole Moudaber, Seth Troxler, and Camelphat, while support has come from David Guetta, Massano, and Jamie Jones.
Editorial recognition has followed accordingly, with placements in Techno Bunker, Electronic Rising, and Women In Electronic, plus features in Billboard, DJ Mag, Forbes, Mixmag, Beatportal, and 6am Group. She capped off 2025 with a 1001Tracklists "Future of Dance" award.
"Nonconformist" is out June 25th, 2026 via Dauntless Records.
