Red Axes has joined fabric Records' prestigious mix series with fabric presents Red Axes, out now. The 16-track compilation spans new material, exclusive edits, and selections from across the electronic canon, arriving alongside the exclusive new single "Time To Take It," a slow-burning psychedelic floor cut that encapsulates the duo's unique sound.
For over 25 years, the fabric presents series has been at the forefront of electronic music culture, delivering curated cutting-edge mixes from influential artists including The Martinez Brothers, Andrew Weatherall, Surgeon, The Streets, and Confidence Man. Red Axes' entry into the series showcases their hypnotic, long-form approach to dancefloor storytelling that aligns perfectly with the label's curation-focused ethos.
The compilation features tracks from A Guy Called Gerald, Random Factor, Queen Atom, and James Infiltrate, alongside Red Axes originals and remixes. Standout moments include their remix of Ivan & Johnny's "Balance No Bass," their collaboration with Man Parrish featuring Roy Garrett on "Hod Rod To Hell And Back," and their remix of Random Factor's "Broken Mirror."
Formed by Dori Sadovnik and Niv Arzi, Red Axes are known for their hypnotic, psychedelic take on dance music. Drawing from post-punk, acid, krautrock, and cosmic disco, their sound favors raw textures, warped melodies, and a distinctly human looseness. Equally respected as producers and DJs, they've earned a reputation for long-form, narrative sets that prioritize tension, atmosphere, and emotional depth.
This approach has seen them invited to venues and festivals including Panorama Bar, De School, Bassiani, Dekmantel, Sonar, and Primavera Sound, establishing them as one of the most distinctive voices to emerge from the global underground in the past decade.
Red Axes will perform at fabric on March 21st, co-headlining a night with DJ Tennis, who released the previous fabric presents mix. The performance offers an opportunity to experience the duo's distinctive approach in the iconic London venue.
