RealestK shares stirring alt R&B anthem "Angels"

Toronto-born alt R&B standout RealestK has just released his latest banger. Entitled "Angels", the song is a taste of his upcoming album Forgive To Forget out March 20th via Standard Projects/ADA.

With "Angels", RealestK pens a soaring and emotionally charged single. Lyrically, he confronts deception and betrayal, unpacking the idea of false saviors who mask harmful intentions. He sings, "Play me as a villain baby / I need more respect," show this narrative. The track feels like both a warning and a confession, wrapped in atmospheric production and piercing vulnerability.

Produced by three-time GRAMMY® winner Danny Boy, “Angels” leans into RealestK’s signature falsetto, airy, aching, and strikingly intimate. Dark synths and slow-burning beats add to the song's melancholic allure. The contrast between the ethereal soundscape and the sobering subject matter creates a gripping emotional tension that lingers long after the final note.

As the opening track of the upcoming 12-song project, “Angels” signals a more mature and reflective chapter for the artist. RealestK channels the personal evolution he’s experienced over the past three years, pain, growth, and silence shaping a body of work that promises depth and cohesion. If this single is any indication, Forgive To Forget will be both introspective and expansive.

Following the momentum of recent releases like “Deja Vu,” “Breathe,” and “Save Me,” RealestK isn’t just riding the wave of alt-R&B’s popularity, he’s helping redefine its emotional boundaries. With a North American tour alongside Bryant Barnes on the horizon, “Angels” arrives at the perfect moment: a bold, vulnerable statement from an artist clearly stepping into his next era.
