Jenn Getz & Alfie’s rise hasn’t been easy, but it’s been entirely their own. When the UK-born artists officially teamed up in 2020, they stepped into a scene where no one looked like them. Dubai’s only female DJ duo. What they built from there came from instinct, hours behind the decks, and a shared drive to bring house and techno to life in their own way. Their energy behind the booth is what first set them apart: the way they lock in with a crowd, push a room higher, and treat every set like a conversation. Weekly residencies at Soho Garden DXB sharpened that connection, warming up for icons like Sonny Fodera, MK, Claptone, Solardo, and Fisher, while their Ibiza Global Radio UAE show let them share the music that shaped them long before Dubai knew their names.
Their recent single “All I Really Want” brings all of that history into one track. Built around a classic Mary J. Blige vocal, the record channels the nostalgia of the garage and house they grew up on, but with the polish and confidence they’ve developed over years of finding their voice as producers. It follows early releases on Solotoko, Toolroom, Abode, and more, each one marking a step forward, each one showing a little more of who they are and where they want to go.
What’s pushing Jenn Getz & Alfie now is bigger than a moment. After being named “Future of Dance” at the 1001Tracklists Awards and landing the cover of Mixmag UAE, the duo is stepping into the global spotlight with a sense of purpose. From Ministry of Sound in London to Gray Area in Brooklyn, their shows carry the same feeling they sparked back in Dubai. Two women playing the music they love, fully in sync, and proving there’s room in this scene for a story like theirs. “All I Really Want” is just the next chapter.
