Singer-songwriter Augustine is gearing up for the next EP with a new single. "Fumbling" is a lo-fi indie chill single that sees Augustine at his best yet. The new single is Augustine's first release since 2024's "Spacer." Picking right up where he last left off, the singer manages to recapture the lightning that was his debut album, Weeks Above the Earth. Back then, the album made major waves, leading to a pair of Swedish Grammy nominations in 2022. Now years removed, Augustine is ready to face the world once more.
Aside from his charm, Augustine has perfectly mastered the DIY space in his career, as "Fumbling" is proof of that. The song does a great job of improving on the alt-beach-rock sound. The wisdom of Bob Dylan and other soft-spoken poets/rock acts made their impression. Augustine carries himself in the same way with his music.
Augustine describes the feeling of "Fumbling" as "a song about coming back after feeling lost for a long time. Fumbling reaches for something bigger, something that can move you forward again."
Much of Augustine's music relies heavily on the realm of modern dreamscape. Little is left up to the imagination as the Swedish singer seems to slip in and out of consciousness on "Fumbling." It's hauntingly beautiful and full of vivid imagery that ushers the listeners along to reflect. "Fumbling" appears to be the first release from Augustine's upcoming EP, scheduled for release soon.
