From the home of funky ideas, Tucson, AZ indie act The Manor Born takes a confident step into the light on their debut Original EP “see you next year” released September 5th 2025. With "the see you next year" EP makes an impression that lasts much longer.

As a synthesis of early 2000s indie spirit and post-punk revival rawness, see you next year reads like an exchange between past and present. Recorded at Dudash’s mother’s house in northern Arizona, the EP exudes a personal, intimate energy, balancing its charge of guitars and melodic urgency with vulnerability throughout.

Among the standout songs is “good goals,” a track that can’t help but sit anthemic, however thought-driven it remains, sharp lyrics see bold instrumentation soar. “too late too bad” snags the jittery heartbeat of post-punk revivalism with a hook that doesn’t let go, and “leaves” eases the tempo for some bittersweet beauty. Collectively, the tracks paint youthful portraits of desire and self-exploration, each one distinct but connected, like dots across The Manor Born’s vision.

At 19 minutes and 28 seconds, the EP is brief but succinct, offering listeners just enough to be swept away while making them hungry for more. “Once Upon a Time in the East,” The Manor Born’s see you next year is at once a nod to indie’s golden era and a proud step forward for a band that is not content to be chained down by nostalgia.
