Ella Mai returns and isn’t playing about her man with new song "Tell Her”

With the influence of Destiny's Child “Say My Name” and her signature R&B sound, Ella Mai sings to remind her man her love is real and wants him to tell his ex he loves Ella and will put no one above her. Ella did not come to play and is protective of her man with lyrics ‘I’m not finna play. She's in the way, you better lay it down. There's nothing to talk about, but if your ex thinks she can call your phone, you better tell her you love me.’

As you listen, the song will make you want to snap your fingers while repeating ‘Say My Name,’ similar to the lyrics and beat of the popular ‘90s group Destiny's Child.

Her man's ex keeps calling, but she will not let her get in the way, and Ella will not waste her time. Yet, Ella recognizes it can be petty. ‘Yeah, that's petty, but you can't afford a loss. Crazy with my thoughts. Lines to never cross.’

With piano playing in the background, Ella requests her man to, ‘Tell her how you're always thinking of me. You don't have to answer any questions when she calls your phone. You need to tell her you're with me, she should fall back.’

Ella knows her man loves her too and will never return to an ex. As the song finishes with violins playing in the background, Ella sings ‘I know you care about my heart. It ain't even hard, tell her you love me, yeah tell her you love me.’

Ella’s man shouldn’t return to his ex, but Ella should return with a new album, and her fans are saying, “Tell her, we need the album now! '
