Raised between England and the South of France, her sound feels like the product of two worlds colliding: gritty and glamorous, cinematic and unfiltered, with a cool, theatrical edge that makes her music stand out from the noise.
“It’s Gone, He’s Gone” started as a creative experiment, building an entire song around just two chords. It’s a quirky, colourful burst of alt-pop featuring animated instrumentation, a playful melody and tongue-in-cheek lyrics.
Depicting a no-hard-feelings take on leaving a toxic relationship and choosing to celebrate the freedom that comes with it, Chayne explains, "I hear weird stories about what people put up with and I’m amazed how crap they feel, I just wanted to be as nonchalant and sardonic as I would like to be after a break-up! Really, I’d hope that this song might make people think they can see the positives in a break-up. It may not feel like it, but it’s probably for the best — so be strong and celebrate!"
