Cinema Stereo leans on classic rock sounds for new EP, 'Can't Get Close Enough'

Alt rock band, Cinema Stereo, brings their fury and heart pumping sound with the release of their new EP, Can't Get Close Enough. Hailing from the sunny sites of Orlando, Florida, the four members (lead vocalist, bassist & keyboard player Ian Rayha, guitarists Sebastian Borysek & Will Sawyer, drummer Luke Pate) channel some of the genre's best rockers in a new modern way. For many wondering where the days of Dad's classic rock has gone, Cinema Stereo is keeping hope alive. The EP is full of raw emotion while oozing that classic rock sex appeal.

Cinema Stereo kicks the project off with the topical dancing track, "Acércate a mi." Translating to "come closer to me," the Latin inspired song is a dazzling display of musical talent by the band. One can't help but tango at the first note of the track. Like the sweaty floor of a Miami nightclub, "Acércate a mi" floats through the room and beckons for attention in the center of the room.

It's on the band's "I know you like it, but I don't" that they find their rock n roll groove. Right out of the gate, the group wastes no time in directing you to match their high chaotic energy. Their vocals claw over the chorus and set blaze to the entire set. So much aggression is present in every note.

Their lead single and title track, "Can't Get Close Enough," is a feel good repetitive tune. Toe tapping and fist shaking, the track harkens back to the early sounds of Aerosmith, AC/DC and Van Halen. It's clear Cinema Stereo has done their musical homework in terms of what the classic rock sound is. Despite their fondness for the genre, the band is still finding ways to bring it to a new modern audience.

The EP wraps up in a thrilling rock ballad way. Can't Get Close Enough blends the worlds of rock, paying respect to the old while craving a path forward for alt rock. As far as alt rock project go, Cinema Stereo provides a bite size taste of their staying power in rock space.
