Actress, singer, performer, and dancer Harley Grey teams up with Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter, actress, and performer Sevilla Merritt (aka Sevi) to create an intoxicating and cinematic film soundtrack for the movie VESPERTINE. The music provides a backdrop to the movie's theme, which follows a reunion between four lost friends who seek revenge for an assault.
With “VESPERTINE," the song and movie soundtrack, the duo sings a dark pop anthem that is atmospheric and haunting. Ethereal stacked vocals, mood-drenched sonics, and eerie downtempo electronic beats enthrall with every note. "VESPERTINE" is a track all about trauma, discovery, and a waking dream scenario that keeps us up at night. They sing, "Poison / Can’t breathe / Voices / Can’t see / Sun is falling leave no light on me / The sky is crashing got no time to leave." "VESPERTINE" is a mesmerizing collaboration and a musical tapestry where Harley Grey and Sevi's vocals take center stage. The music video follows the duo as they ride in the back of an old truck into the woods at dusk. As night falls, the girls find the magical pink flower (“The Vespertine”) blooming. Harley Grey sings on the movie soundtrack and stars in the film VESPERTINE. The acclaimed actress has also performed in numerous musical theater productions and the award-winning fashion short Goddess Rising Mystery School. As a classically trained dancer, she has competed in ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, tap, hip hop, jazz funk, lyrical, and salsa since a young age. Sevi is short for Sevilla Merritt, is an up and coming teenage singer-songwriter and actress who has released original music ("Backup Friend", "nobody else", and "oh okay") and is working on a new song to be released this May. The multi-talented artist also produces her own music and plays guitar and piano, quickly gaining attention for her talents.
