Wings of Desire look forward to "A Few More Years" on cinematic new single

Wings of Desire return with "A Few More Years," a glistening yet gritty dream-pop anthem that perfectly captures the duo’s signature blend of nostalgia and forward-thinking optimism. As always, the duo combines krautrock-inspired electronics with hazy, cinematic soundscapes. The track serves as both a reflection on youthful recklessness and a hopeful message to the future self.

James Taylor's poetic talk-singing style sets the tone, reminiscing about the heady, pre-algorithm days of late-night drives, cigarettes, and sunrises tinged with existential dread.

Taylor's vocals seamlessly intertwine with Chloe Little’s sweet, ethereal harmonies, elevating the song into an uplifting chorus that urges patience and perseverance, "holding on for a few more years," with a painterly brush of melancholia, reminding us that things do get better with time.

Ghost Culture (Daniel Avery, Kelly Lee Owens) provides a stunning remix on the B-side of the limited white-label 7" vinyl, A Few More Years marks the beginning of a fresh chapter for Wings of Desire, paving the way for their next soaring long-form project in 2025.
