Los Angeles based indie rock duo Fake Dad has just shared their latest single. Entitled "ON/OFF", the single is a grit-laced, bold and unapologetic track. The song is the latest off of their upcoming new EP Holly Wholesome and the Slut Machine, in which they indulge and tell the stories of various characters including clowns, demons, knights and more.
With "ON/OFF", Fake Dad pens a song all about the relatable narrative of feeling overstimulated, hopeless and not motivated. Burnout is real and the numbing of emotions at times as well as the intense emotional rollercoaster is so prevalent in our current society, and Fake Dad narrates just this in their latest single. Lyrics demonstrating this include,"Scrolling on the internet / No real thought running through my head." Musically, "ON/OFF", is a jagged grunge rock affair complete with rebellious vocals, dynamic drumming and blistering guitar riffs.
