New York alt pop meets indie rock genius Middle Part has just unleashed his latest track. Entitled "Superstar", the song is the last single leading up to his highly anticipated album Disruptor set for release later this month.
"Superstar" is an important and relatable song all about the rat race and perseverance even amidst difficulties. The track also discusses the perils of comparison and how extreme individualism can lead to downfall. Lyrics include "Everyone right now is looking for a little meaning / Nowadays everyone is a superstar," show just how hyper fixated our world has become with social media and self promotion and the difficulties of being an artist in this time. Musically, "Superstar" is an infectious banger complete with striking acoustic guitars and a cinematic wall of sound. Layered melodies and intoxicating riffs are also highlighted in this emotive story of both turmoil and tenacity.
