Multi-talented singer-songwriter and pianist Diane Birch grew up in a religious home in Zimbabwe and South Africa before metamorphosizing into a gothic teen in Portland, Oregon. These disparities in experiences helped shape Diane's rich musical tapestry and sense of self-awareness. After moving to New York under a record label, she released three projects and continued her run on the stage while collaborating with other musicians. Presently she is working on her latest project entitled Flying On Abraham, a multi-genre body of work that threads together '70s AM radio, soul, jazz, classic rock, ’ '80s/90’s pop and R&B in a seamless manner. While fans await the release, she whets our appetites with the sophomore single "Shade" which explores the underhanded moves of a narcissist who is overcompensating for their fears and shortcomings. Inspired by Diane's rejection of city life and the corporate-driven American dream, she doesn't mince her words as she breaks down all the nuances of the fakeness and painted smiles with much glee. The production by English musician Paul Stacey is a nod to the past and is bolstered by soulful jazzy piano arrangements, soaring textures and of course Diane's commanding vocal runs that rise to a plateau on the memorable chorus section.

Flying On Abraham will be released on April 12th via Topanga Creed Records.

Receiving widespread attention with her debut album Bible Belt, and her follow-up projects Speak A Little Louder and Nous, These works not only cemented her position in the international music scene but also earned her accolades and respect from esteemed peers including Prince, Daryl Hall, Mark Ronson, Dave Stewart, Questlove, Elvis Costello, Bryan Ferry, and Stevie Wonder.
