Michael Meaney's new single "Supersonic" is a cosmic fusion of heart and melody. Produced with Joseph Occhiuti of Ice Nine Kills, the song masterfully delivers a melodic vibe that transports listeners through the rollercoaster of love and imagination.
Meaney started out playing alongside Occhiuti in their band 'Flat Out.' With roots in Lowell and his heart in LA, Meaney now embarks on an introspective solo journey.
"Supersonic" tells the story of falling for someone with a very different lifestyle. The lyrics describe trying to keep up with an elusive, materialistic lifestyle of extravagant parties. It takes you through an on-and-off relationship until realizing it's not sustainable.
When Meaney incorporates space themes his music becomes more emotive. Using the metaphor of the vast cosmos highlights the emotional disconnect between two people living separate lives.
