Founding member of Blue Foundation, multi-million streaming artist and the voice behind the US Grammy nominated “Twilight”-soundtrack hit song and viral TikTok phenomenon “Eyes on Fire,” Sitrekin shares new single “As I Moved On,” celebrating the 20-year anniversary of the iconic Blue Foundation break-through album Sweep of Days.
With minimal arrangements that give way to intense emotional connections led by her soft vocals that float over tight percussions, forceful synths and distinctive electronic atmosphere. Written from a dark place yet promising power, growth and light, the vulnerable but hopeful anthem urges us to move on from something that is no longer serving your best.
Speaking of the celestial track, she says, “The song is about listening to, and trusting, your inner voice, wherever it takes you. About being true to yourself and stay open, soft and vulnerable, yet at the same time, badass and awe-inspiring, and not letting anyone run you over.”
Giving us courage to stand tall and strong in tough times, the track leaves us feeling like something magical is around the corner for us, rooted in the unique blend of atmospheric electronic indie and melancholic pop that Sitrekin has honed as a solo outfit since 2021.
Now, as she leaves us looking ahead to her forthcoming debut album she leaves us with a strong yet subtle sonic world for us to settle into.
