Austin-based Honky Tonk artist Ellis Bullard unveils his new single, “Honky Tonk Ain’t Noise Pollution.” The fast-paced, riff-driven track is an intoxicating blend of Country Western, Honky Tonk and good times. Inspired by the weird and wonderful experiences that Bullard has encountered throughout his life, as well as the many people and strangers he has met along the way, Bullard’s music is a raw and insightful look into who he is.
The energetic and playful track is injected with wit, grit and a ton of guitars oozing with attitude and character, capturing the core of Honky Tonk music. The birth of the single stems from when Bullard took a trip to Steamboat, Colorado where he saw a sign that stated, "Lake Vallecito, Not a place, but a state of mind." Almost immediately, a light bulb was lit, with the songwriter sharing, “Honky Tonk, Not a place, but a state of mind …. That's how it started. That was the seed for it. On the road I listen to it all, podcasts, music and I'm all over the place for taste. My buddy happened to be blaring some ACDC “Rock n Roll ain't Noise Pollution“ …. Then it hit me like a freight liner, “HONKY TONK AIN’T NOISE POLLUTION, ITS DAMN NEAR A STATE OF MIND!”
Giving us a taste of what to expect from his upcoming sophomore album, Honky Tonk Ain’t Noise Pollution sets the bar, hinting towards an unforgettable chapter for Ellis Bullard.
