From singing backup for Daniel Caesar on his Freudian tour to opening for Savannah Ré, Benita has undoubtedly made her mark on Toronto. With the release of her 2022 EP “Scarlett”, Benita showed her confidence and sensuality through a series of powerful R&B grooves. Now, Benita has made her return with an emotional and stripped back 2-pack titled The Other Side Through The Hills.

Both songs serve as thematic foils to each other, painting a picture of hopelessness, depression, growth and motivation.

In contrast, “Through the Hills” tells the story of the light at the end of the tunnel, where Benita reflects on how far she has come with an optimistic outlook for her future.
