Los Angeles based acclaimed musician and singer/songwriter Scott Goldbaum has just released his second single off of his forthcoming EP. Called "Mourning Coffee," the track follows his debut single "Drive Too Fast" shared earlier this year.

With "Mourning Coffee", Scott Goldbaum writes a song all about codependency, specifically in romantic relationships. It is important to realize the distinction between wanting someone and needing someone and "Mourning Coffee" explores this important difference. This theme is particularly pertinent when the pandemic hit and the world felt like it was falling apart.

With lyrics including "My head against yours / be the bandage / I wish I could navigate the world," Goldbaum poetically relays that feeling of being lost without that person you are in a relationship with and points out how important self reliance is. "Mourning Coffee" features lush acoustic guitar riffs that float and soothe like a lullabye. Goldbaum's melancholic vocals sing yearningly seductive melodies that draw the listener into his deep contemplation.

Scott Goldbaum is a well known guitarist and songwriter in Los Angeles. Having led successful local bands including Forebear as well as performing and collaborating with Sting, LAUV, Keith Urban, Charlotte Lawrence and Maddie Poppe, Goldbaum is set to share his highly anticipated solo debut EP. Take a listen to "Mourning Coffee" and enjoy the breathtakingly beautiful musical ride.
