Melbourne, Australia based Quivers return with a tale of yearning in their new single "If Only". The track follows their critically acclaimed 2021 album Golden Doubt.

"If Only" is an Americana-dipped, slow-burned pop-rock single all about wanting someone at the wrong time. The track is the first time member Bella Quinlan takes the lead on the vocals. With lyrics including, "If only I could make you love me / Before you move overseas / What a fucked up thing to want / Love should just be / It’s there or it’s not / Let romance rot / Don’t let it get into your lungs," Bella understands her deep longing for a love that can't happen and how disruptive and damaging that can be. "If Only" entices with honey-dipped vocals, steady grunge guitar riffs and heightened melodies that drip with nostalgia and passion. Dreamy and pensive indie rock landscapes highlight the song's introspective narrative of lust gone wrong.

In the accompanying visuals filmed and edited by Nina Renee, the band pays homage to the Final Girl trope, and car tropes in horror films with a romantic twist. Bella is seen in an old car at night singing when a ghost who is a past lover visits her and kisses her passionately. The video is a haunting queer romance that is a perfect accompaniment to the single.

Formed in Tasmania Australia and first sharing music in 2017, Quivers is known for their charming indie pop thrilling audiences around the globe. Alongside the release of "If Only", the band shared a stunning cover of "I Wanted to See You So Bad" by Lucinda Williams and announced a U.S. tour.
