Nottingham-raised singer-songwriter Drew Thomas continues to make waves across the alternative scene, and his new pop rock-fuelled anthem “All My Friends” is no exception. Flourishing into chronicles of heteronormativity and the abundance of pressure that comes with settling down, his latest tune encapsulates inspirational discourses into a soaring catharsis.

In an ode to societal pressure, he confesses, “All My Friends is about watching all of your mates starting to build homes, make families and have kids but refusing to settle down yourself. It’s about still having the party lifestyle and getting drunk every night but feeling left behind by the people you used to love.” Paired with gritty guitar riffs, a punchy bassline and the perfect blend of rebellion, “All My Friends” turns into an explosive tune.

Soaring with unapologetic authenticity, Thomas’ latest offering breaks the mold. In a resonating outlet of emotion, he enraptures listeners with his passionate vocality. He continues, “To me, it’s also had a deeper meaning the more I’ve played it because, for the LGBTQ+ community, it’s not as simple and straightforward as settling down whenever you want and naturally end up resenting stereotypical relationship culture as a result.”

As Drew Thomas continues to scope out the world stage, his endeavours shine brightly. His raw relatability and contagious rhythms will have you spinning “All My Friends” on repeat.
