Rising NJ artist Lady London made her mark with the release of her mixtape Lady Like: The Boss Tape, a body of work comprised of thirteen of her most celebrated freestyle snippets and now she returns with her official single for the year. The song titled "What Is It Giving," sees her working with Multi-Platinum Producer Kosine who laces her with a sparse, bass-heavy club banger as her canvas.
The multi-talented rapper goes to work with her sultry flow and unassuming style that centers on her flexing on the opposition and thrilling listeners with a chant-like hook that lingers in the ears. She keeps it simple with her unique mellow cadence while showing off her writing skills with lines like "You're giving me average/You say you're a nine, you put it on God, it's giving me blasphemous/crossing the line like an asterisk, have a blast with this".
London has gone on record to state her vow to release more original music with the goal of having audiences grasp a deeper understanding of her artistry and capabilities hence, we expect more music before the year runs out.
