Berklee dropout, jame minogue, premieres a colorful indie rock track, "Hate Being In Love" today. The Dominican-Irish artist writes an upbeat pop Latin-infused record in the name of being madly in love – yet feeling like the feelings might not be fully reciprocated. Oh, the feels.

The accompanying visual was directed and shot by Camila Noriega. This video premiere with EARMILK unveils minogue as sprung as can be over a new love. He sits on a picnic blanket, performing his lyrics, but all alone without a soul around.  The sunny, feel-good images reflect that of a young man being head over heels. minogue details the games that oftentimes accompany early stages of love with lyrics like “Ok, now think about the time we ditched a class and went to bed / Me encerraste en el closet cuando ya vino tu ex [which translates to ‘You locked me in the closet when your ex came’].” So, there's obviously some kinks that need to be worked out in storyline.

"Hate Being In Love" hands us production from Omar Tavarez (Pitbull), Mark Pelli, and jame himself. Highlighting the number is a fun merengue-style live-conga bookend to the single. It's the closing section that will transport the listener to a local electric salsa function.

Príncipe Azul (Prince Charming) is his sophomore project underway. The unique sound that jame blends of indie, synth-pop & funk will be heard on the upcoming EP. Be on the lookout for jame as he lays more of his emotions out in his next genre-bending servings.
