After sharing the video for their single "LMK" some months ago, UK all-girl group Calyco return to the forefront with another visual for their summer pop jam titled "Dance With U." Taking elements from R&B/pop with funk sensibilities, the ladies deliver a retro-tinged feel-good track we all can rock with to keep us warm as winter approaches. The record is ripe with warm and soothing textures plus an arresting melodic performance from the ladies as they implore us to get on the dancefloor and groove away our worries.
The TJay Weekes directed visual is quite interesting for its simplicity and use of ideal performance shots that weave between close and long shots. It sure brings that summertime feeling to the forefront with the girl next door look displayed by the ladies as they do what they know best. The video switches up towards the end with the ladies performing alongside their band in an unknown location.
Calyco is a newly formed 5-piece pop/R&B girl group based in the UK. The name of the group is made from the letters of the members: Chloe, Angel, Izzy, Julie, and Tyger. They started off making their own renditions of classic R&B tunes such as "My heart belongs to you" by Jodeci and "What about your friend" by TLC.
