Rising progressive and melodic trance producer Boy North shares a glorious, uplifting journey in the form of his new EP We All Stood Still via Another Rhythm. An artist who’s fast becoming synonymous with crafting lush melodies to a backdrop of sharp breaks, the new EP showcases all the sides to the rising producer’s musical personality.
Boy North’s latest EP is a lesson in big room, euphoric melodic house, showcasing all the different strings to the rising producer's musical bow coursing through elements of breakbeat, trance and melodic house. Over the course of the release's 5 cuts "Need You By My Side", the namesake track "We All Stood Still", the buoyant "Dream of a Better Tomorrow", experimental and exploratory "Was It The Wind That Stirred The Trees" and the deep, brooding "Burning Inside" we see Boy North further flesh out his musical identity.
Since starting to put out music in 2018, Boy North has received support from artists like Yousef, Kölsch, Lane 8, Joris Voorn and Cristoph and has previously released with labels like Purified Records, Songspire Records and Fat! Records.
Boy North started DJing from a young age, learning his technical skills and musicality from his dad. Raised in Edinburgh, he began dipping his toe into DJing as a profession when he was still a teenager. It was hearing Lane 8’s "Hot As You Want" in 2016 that sparked his love of melodic house, and he started foraying into music production as a result.
