Despite the uncertainty of 2020, Florida-based alt-hip-hop 9-piece seeyousoon turned more than a few heads with their explosive and metamorphic debut project, VIDÉ. Progressive in every sense of the word, the group's larger-than-life membership allows them to more fervently push boundaries due to each respective member's unique impact synergistically uniting for their authentic and succinct vision.
“'Fever' is the precursor to our 2nd full-length album," states the group in an email statement. "It represents the risks that we’re willing to take to make sure that we’re always breaking barriers and trying new things. It’s a blistering two-minute ride. Get ready for a lot more.”
Softly washed-out chords seem to tenderly announce their return and in true seeyousoon fashion, the unexpected swiftly arrives in the form of a gritty and instantaneously head-bobbing beat switch up. Cutting right to the chase, "Fever" eponymously lives up to its name with wonderfully warped, blood-pumping production that tirelessly builds momentum with each vocalist's unique performance.
Unrelenting and to the point, the track's short runtime is perhaps the only drawback to the first taste of what's to come from them this year, but until then, the expansive and binge-worthy VIDÉ stays on repeat.
