Well, it feels like this summer has completely been wasted without us ever really getting that summer feeling. With the world is disarray, it would appear that all of our days blend into one. Festivals were forced to cancel, and in course, we never got to listen to good music with our friends in a field somewhere. However all is not lost, as KinKai has brought the summer to us in one music video; "Top Down".
"Top Down" is a certified summer smash, that deserves to be played LOUD. The sun-kissed visuals see KinKai and partners in crime Children of Zeus take to the wheel of a classic BMW, racing around country lanes. The song's hook, sang by Tyler Daly, is soulful and infectious. KinKai's smooth, unique style is refreshing. His raps have a mellow yet melodic tone to them, making them easy to digest. The closing verse is left to Konny Kon, who takes the opportunity to talk about spending time with his favourite people on those warm summer nights.
The track is taken from KinKai's incredible new album A Pennies Worth, which he released earlier this year. The project sits at nine tracks deep and gives fans a solid glimpse into who he is as an artist. There are a number of features on the album from the likes of KSR and Akemi Foxx.
