With a music video of camera frames seeped in sepia comes Alessi’s Ark newest single “Sacred”. The London-based artist has over a decade of history in the indie genre and this latest marks a successful return.
“Sacred” is an easy listening tune with a foot-tapping beat. From instrumentals to lyrics, each part of the track points to Alessi Ark’s experience in songwriting – beginning when she was just 16. Releasing her first album Notes from the Treehouse in 2009, “Sacred” is perhaps a continuation of the folk-pop sound she outlined for herself a decade ago. As in her earlier work, “Sacred” showcases a uniquely delicate and beautiful voice but similar to her most recent releases, the song experiments more with instrumentals and an extended bridge. Overall, the single is a developed sound for Alessi’s Ark, and I am eager to see where she takes it next.
