.The underground Inglewood rapper, Thurz, has returned from his hiatus. Despite not releasing a project in nearly two years, Thurz is dropping gems. His latest album may well be his best yet. Following the release of his song “777-9311” earlier this year, Thurz is back this week. His newest track is titled “Long Live”.
“Long Live” is a soulful song produced by Jake One. Featuring an intricate soundscape paired with a bass that hits deep. The melancholic single emphasises the great legacy Thurz aspires to have when his time comes to leave the world in addition to honouring all of those who have already passed away. "The track is about giving impactful people in my life their flowers while they can still smell them. An ode to all the family members and friends that have helped shaped my perspective as a man and human being," the rapper said. Also in response to the people close time him that the artist has lost during his journey to success, “Long Live” emphasises that Thurz now has a better perspective on life. In addition, Thurz has been a songwriter for Dr. Dre’s Aftermath and is featured on Anderson Paak’s album Oxnard. So “Long Live” is just a sneak peek to the captivating works of art we can hope from the rapper in the future.
