After setting the tone on her debut EP Practice, Lagos-based singer/songwriter Jazzz is back with a new body of work titled Silly Love Affair. The four-track collaboration with eclectic producer BigFoot dwells solely on love, and all the emotions that come along with it. Bigfoot crafts the perfect backdrop as Jazzz tells a story of two lovers who find and lose themselves in a world filled with yearning and passion.
Kicking off with the slightly upbeat, guitar-driven emotional opener "Searching," Jazzz then slows it down and shows a darker side on the downtempo electro-soul soundscape "Sticky Situation." The follow-up track "Stimulation" is a sultry, afro wave-inspired record, switching up the vibes and making for a good evening sit in with one's significant other. The album's final namesake track wraps things up nicely with it's dreamy and ethereal vibes, only toppled by Jazzz's malleable soulful vocal style. The project is short but the chemistry is palpable, the music is surreal, and the end result leaves the listener with an unforgettable experience.
