Welcome to the sleek and silky sounds of duo Satin Jackets, a project of producer Tim Bernhardt and performer Den Ishu. No strangers to the world of nu disco and chill house, their recognizable laid back grooves have been associated with other genre leaders like Goldroom, Zimmer, Moullinex and his label Discotexas, among others. Between remixes, originals, mixes, and debut album Panorama Pacifico released via Eskimo Recordings, the past few years have certainly not seen a shortage of Satin Jackets.

This year sees the duo teaming up with Toolroom Records to compile and mix together their 2017 Poolside Ibiza compilation. Bringing their disco-tinged Balearic house just as the season hits full swing. Poolside Ibiza 2017 features 15 tracks from favorites like Kraak & Smaak, Purple Disco Machine, Kartell, Crazy P, Boys Get Hurt, Cyclist, and so many others. It’s a hot line up! Also appearing at the surface of this giant summer gem is a new Satin Jackets original called “Out Of My Head” which we’re bringing you today.

As the opener to the compilation, “Out Of My Head” brings signature Satin Jackets silk to Ibiza this summer. You get full luscious synths, the perfect tropical marimbas, wispy feminine vocals of Norway’s Sheila Simmenes, and that chill pace—all that’s missing are the beach and cocktail. The guys chose this one “to lay down a rich foundation of Satin Jackets goodness and set the mood for the upcoming ride.” It’s definitely a ride worthwhile.

Other worthy points include Crazy P’s “Scrap The Book” in which the group delivers a divine and vintage-inspired soul track that sounds straight from the 70s. Satin Jackets says, “I’ve been a long-time fan of Crazy P. With this track they’ve demonstrated well how to present a perfect funky Deep House tune with a sweet vocal on top. They’re great at never sounding pretentious.”

Also don’t miss “Alone With You” originally by Norwegian masterminds Kraak & Smaak and here remixed by German soulful house producer Purple Disco Machine. “Kraak & Smaak are long term music heroes and basically neighbours. Fellow German PDM topped this one off with a really groovy remix; a perfect way to round things off towards the end of the mix,” says Satin Jackets of this selection.

Look for Toolroom's Poolside Ibiza 2017 compilation along with new Satin Jackets to be released July 14th. Check it out and find pre-orders from digital retailers here.
