Following stints on various labels, Butane hones in on his own record label Alphahouse with EP entitled Preacher Man.
2016 saw Alphahouse enter its second decade of providing the world with strictly underground sounds, previous talent including Ricardo Villalobos, Ryan Crosson and Ilario Alicante. Representing his Alphahouse imprint, Butane has served up three tracks which tick different boxes on the Preacher Man EP. Here at EARMILK we have the first full listen on ”Call And Response” for you to delve into.

All three tracks explore how spoken word can ignite dance music, akin to Mr Fingers' "Can You Feel It" and "When a Fire Starts to Burn" from Disclosure. ”Call And Response” boasts the weightiest groove on the EP and sees the sermon gather eager replies, weaved into a warm yet forceful techno taster, with tribal touches to boot. ”Call And Response” follows on from EP opener "Dancefloor Brethren" where the preacher theme comes into play after an enchanting melody. Ending the EP is "False Profit" leaving things on a more minimal note.
Preacher Man EP is out on June 6th, available digitally, and with a limited edition vinyl release.
