Some of the fun of electronic music is the ability of an artist to interpret it in any way that best suits them. The perfect example of a group who demonstrates this creative freedom is UK born and bred synth pop duo Empathy Test. Made up of singer Isaac Howlett and producer Adam Relf, the two have turned their childhood friendship into a delivery of multiple EPs that feature emotional electronic music with a depth in its measure.
Today we have a special first listen to a remix of one of their latest, "Here Is the Place." From their next EP due out August 18th on the NYC-based Stars & letters, they've invited the city's Thomas Datt to remix the lead track. Tom Krakowiak has made a name for himself with his trance productions, but here, he's used that emotional electronic production experience to create a more genre-shrouded, progressive track. Uplifting but deep, Datt's take on "Here Is The Place" surely makes us look forward to the full August release.
