Chris Lake is a DJ who consistently gives back to his fans with music. In between hits like "Chest" and "Boneless," he has made a reputation giving out new remixes and originals as free downloads via his socials. This time around it's a special edit of a hit we all know (and still love): "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars. Lake has taken the true soul and funk of the original and transformed it into something that symbolizes the bare bones of house music. With soulful, disco inspiration provided by Mars's vocals, Lake has mixed in 808-driven beats and a simple, perfectly timed synth to give "Uptown Funk" a little extra oomph.
