So much music is released every day and at times it can be easy for things to get overlooked. Freddie Dickson is an artist we implore you to not sleep on and we recommend you follow his every move because the raw power and drive his music embodies is an unstoppable force to be reckoned with and the only fitting space for the talented 20-something London artist is in the spotlight of a dimly light venue. His voice has the weight and power of fellow rock constituents like Mutemath and The Black Keys and his guitar twang is hauntingly piercing with every tense strum. It is with good reason his style, which he calls doom pop has received comparisons to Lana Del Rey and that he has sold out multiple shows and been picked up by top outlets like Vice, NME, and Line Of Best Fit to play one of their curated shows.

Today we have the honor of premiering his lead single “Speculate” off his third EP out April 13th via Columbia Records. Freddie presents himself in such a frail and vulnerable state with every howled crackle of his voice which stings effortlessly over the emotional wail of his guitar. Cymbals crash on every downbeat as unadulterated grit howls through the speakers. His sound is this single is pure, raw, disgruntled and unrelenting gold and a perfect prophecy for the inevitable fame his enigmatic sound exudes. For those across the pond be sure to catch him at one of his show dates in April and for us in the state we will wait patiently for him to grace our country with is brooding emotional rock n’ roll sounds.

20th April – The Loft at East Village Arts Club, Liverpool
22nd April – Games Room at Brudenell, Leeds
23rd April – Ruby Lounge, Manchester
24th April – The Bullingdon, Oxford
27th April – Sticky Mike’s Frog Bar, Brighton
28th April – St Stephen’s Church, London
29th April – Louisiana, Bristol
