London native Kojey Radical, part of the Push Crayons collective, is seen by many as one of the UK's brightest sparks. His brand of spoken word, backed by slick instrumentals, is a complete breath of fresh air to a scene that is slowly becoming over saturated with carbon copies of the same rappers doing the same sound.
Earlier this summer, Kojey released his highly anticipated project Dear Daisy: Opium, which was received incredibly well by fans and critics, further hammering home the notion of Kojey being one of the hottest talents on the come up on the British Isles. Now, a few months later, we've been treated to the first video for one of my personal favourites from Dear Daisy, "The Garden Party". Following on the theme of the title, the video sees Kojey venturing around a wooded area, using a string-can telephone whilst building shelters and generally exploring his surroundings, following on from the lyrical content of being free and alone. "The Garden Party" shows the young Londoner at his best, as he weaves and winds his words up to form a truly mesmerizing poem that pulls at your emotions and has you listening intently to every word spoken.
