Straight out of the Leeds music scene are the two-piece funk aficionados, Galaxians. Composed of Matt Woodward and Jed Skinner, both have collectively released smooth, disco-fused music since 2012. Fostering a sound influenced by the works of early 80's New York labels like SAM and Sleeping Bag it comes to no surprise Galaxians' debut split with Runners caught the early attention of Brooklyn-based imprint, Dither Down Records. As Woodward and Skinner kept rocking crowds with their combined analog-acoustic live performances and persisted on releasing music at a consistent rate, we now get to their newest offering for Dither Down, Personal Disco Component.
The four tracker EP centered as an homage to the same NYC boogie scene that's been a great influence awakens a quenching disco and 80's synthesizing spirit that follows up just when many thought boogie-funk was a stale offering. Get a glimpse of the EP with EARMILK's exclusive download of "Visuals" below.
Released worldwide this week, be sure you pick up your copy of Personal Disco Component fresh off the press.
